I'm still here

Well we are into our third week and I haven't had much chance to get on the net.

I have to start somewhere though so I will start briefly today.

I had a terrible night last night LOL!

Was going to try and go to Kt's school this morning to show off our baby but ended up being too tired and very grouchy!

If I don't get a minimum of 7 hours sleep a night (that is 7 hours in total ... broken up into smaller sleeps like 1 hr/3hrs/3hrs or 2hrs 2hrs 3hrs) then I am not very friendly, alert or capable of dealing with too much drama.

With 7 hours of sleep I am human... cheerful and refreshed!

After uni took kt to school I got my required few hours that took me over the 7 hour sleep threshold and that is why I am now dressed, showered, and remotely able to type.

oops ... gotta go ... I hear someone crying...

bags nearly packed

OK hospital stay bag is 95% packed

Labour room bag is 50% packed.

I hate packing for any event as I never know what I will really need and often lug a huge suitcase full of unnecessary things around.

I also have done a quick birth announcement document that hopefully I will be able to fill in birth date and weight details and perhaps a photo and then send off to whoever needs to know once baby is born and I am home.

This will save me picking through fonts, wording etc when I am too tired to ... although I imagine choosing a photograph to send off will be a task in itself.

I went early to the markets today and am feeling pretty tired ... I have 4 nights of looking after kt solo, cooking dinner, cleaning up etc ... so I think I will probably go to bed pretty early for the next few nights.

Kt and I went to a new playground this morning for a bit of a play.

She had a lot of fun and it was nice to get her out into the fresh air ... too many mossies about though.

Am thinking I am starting to feel a bit better now ... have been getting plenty of early nights and lots of sleep and I think that has helped.

Have read two big books on birth etc and now onto my third.

Feeling very knowledgeable ... hope I can remember all I need to during the actual birth.
